Understanding Biased patient-provider Interaction And Supporting Enhanced Discourse

This project is a collaboration between University of Washington and UC San Diego and investigates a novel social signal processing (SSP) approach to help reduce health disparities by improving patient-clinician communication for underserved, diverse patients in primary care.

Our ultimate goal is to support the next generation of healthcare providers and educators, reduce health disparities, and promote healthcare access, quality, and equity.
